Vibrational Medicine
by Gregory Allen Butler
Vibrational medicine is the reason why I am still alive today. I was brought to the verge of death with a serious digestive disorder. I was told that it would plague me for the rest of my life.
"Know that all strength, all healing of every nature is the changing of the vibrations from within-the attuning of the Divine within the living tissue of the body to Creative Energies. This alone is healing. Whether it is accomplished by the use of drugs, the knife or whatnot, it is the attuning of the atomic structure of the living cellular force to its spiritual heritage." -Edgar Cayce, Reading 1967-1
I had first hand experience to the efficacy of vibrational medicine. My health was in a shambles the first time I went to see a practitioner named Dr. Henry Merwick. He was in his 80s at the time and this was over 25 years ago. My kidneys and liver were both severely damaged by the side effects of the western medicine that treated me two years earlier. Also my digestive disorder was in a shambles and I had arthritis. In the 25 years since I have seen him, I have had no more problems.
Dr. Merwick made his living as a chiropractor, but his claim to fame, according to his loyal clientele, was his use of radionics, which he practiced for free. He had patients who had been seeing him for over 50 years.
He never charged anyone for a radionics treatment because it is illegal in the United States. But it has been growing in popularity in England, even amongst the traditional doctors. According to Dr. Merwick, radionics worked on the vibratory energy of the various parts of the body-the heart, kidneys, liver, gall bladder, and spleen, even corpuscles. He would determine the vibratory rate on the different organs with on machine, then gradually correct the vibratory rate with a series of one-hour treatments on another machine.
His results were impressive. Everyone in my circle of friends in Los Angeles saw him for treatment. And they kept going back. If we had friends come in from out of town, we dragged them in to see him, too.
The principle behind his treatment was that we are spiritual beings. And because of that, one of the vibrations that Dr. Merwick would calibrate was that of the etheric body (the energy field surrounding the physical body). He once told me that my etheric body was very strong and whatever I was doing spiritually, that I should keep it up. Screenwriter Jeff McGuire (In the Line of Fire) told me that Dr. Merwick once told him that radionics could only do so much, and the rest was up to prayer.
Dr. Merwick recognized that disease did not originate in the physical body, but in the etheric body. Since it is this energy body that sustains the physical body, stress and disharmony in the etheric or energy body, if continued long enough, would manifest as illness in the physical body.
How much of his success as a doctor came from radionics and how much resulted from his healing energy, is open for debate. The bottom line is, it was energy that healed me, probably some combination of his and the radionics. I am forever grateful to him.
Dr. Richard Gerber, in his book Vibrational Medicine, explains that "… the molecular arrangement of the physical body is actually a complex network of interwoven energy fields. The energetic network, which represents the physical/cellular framework, is organized and nourished by 'subtle' energetic systems which coordinate the life-force with the body. There is a hierarchy of subtle energetic systems that coordinate electro-physiologic, hormonal function, as well as cellular structure within the physical body. It is primarily from these subtle levels that health and illness originate. These unique energy systems are powerfully affected by our emotions and level of spiritual balance as well as by nutritional and environmental factors. These subtle energies influence cellular patterns of growth in both positive and negative directions"
As above, so below. Spiritual balance means wholeness. Wholeness is the prerequisite for harmony. Carolyn Myss, in Anatomy of the Spirit, wrote that "Ironically, once we realize the stuff of which we are made, we have no choice but to live a spiritual life."
Dr. Edward Bach, who introduced to the world Bach Flower Essences as a vibrational approach to healing, actually thought that illnesses were beneficial in that they awaken us to the fact that we have a spiritual imbalance. The illness gives us an opportunity to refocus our spiritual energy, to root ourselves in the unmanifested. And when we address this, we can treat the underlying cause of the disease, not just the symptom. Without dealing with the root cause, the imbalance in the energy field, the disease is prone to reappear.
As we develop our skills in living more and more in the present moment, away from the limiting thoughts and beliefs of the past, the more we can eliminate disharmony and stress, and subsequently, disease, from our lives.
I will leave you with these words from Dr. Bach's Heal Thyself:
Steadily must we press forwards and onwards, never regretting and never looking back, for the past of even one hour ago is behind us, and the glorious future with its blazing light ever before us. All fear must be cast out; it should never exist in the human mind, and is only possible when we lose sight of our Divinity.
