Source of Being -- The Source of Power
by Gregory Allen Butler
The conscious connection to the source of being – God, the Divine Beloved, Infinite Intelligence -- is the pathway to passion, conviction, and inspiration. This all-pervading energy is the source of intuition, insight and illumination. To the degree that we are conscious of this energy determines our depth of perception and expression of it. The consciousness we have of the all pervading is the determinant of our power in the outer world. Infinite Power is the expression of Infinite Consciousness. Great power is the expression of great consciousness. Lesser power is the expression of lesser consciousness.
An impediment to this inner connection results in a loss of passion and enthusiasm. This loss equates with feeling limited and frustrated. Instead of a state of harmony with source, an impaired connection leaves us in a state of discord.
But unlike a cell phone signal where you might get out of range from the nearest transmitter, you can never get out of range to your source of being. However, inner obstacles do interfere with the reception of the signal.
The connection to source has nothing to do with distance, as it is everywhere. It has to do with vibration. We can connect perfectly with the source of being only when we are in tune with it. To be in tune with the source of being is to be an expression of its infinity.
Imagine that you work in a tuning fork factory. In your factory, you have thousands of tuning forks tuned to a perfect C, 256 vibrations per second. Down the road, about ½ mile away, there is a church bell that rings every hour, also tuned to a perfect C. When it rings, all of the tuning forks start vibrating, as they are all in tune with the church bell. The sound of a thousand tuning forks fills the whole factory every time the church bell rings.
But if the church bell is replaced by another bell that is tuned to a D, the tuning forks will remain lifeless. They would not be in tune with the new bell. They could "hear" it, but they couldn’t express it. They wouldn’t have a vibrational match.
I once had a dream in which a spiritual master of infinite consciousness, sitting in front of me, struck a tuning fork. The sound was matchless, so pure and beautiful. He said in the dream, "This is my vibration. Your job is to become this vibration."
That is the job for all of us -- to become a vibrational match with our source of being. To become a vibrational match is to have the tumblers fall into place and have the door to the vault opened.
The vibration that we emanate is the result of the thoughts we hold in our minds. Thoughts of discord create dissonance. Thoughts of harmony create beauty. The former bring confusion. The latter bring understanding.
Last night I read a post entitled Committed Decisions at Priscilla Palmer's blog. She shared some insightful tips on the subject. And I added a comment to the effect that our decisions are as clear as the connection to our source of being. The clearer our connection or the more perfect our vibrational match, the more passion and vitality we will have for what we embark upon. A decision that we waiver on is due to an impeded connection.
If you haven’t already figured it out, we are on the verge of a new age in the development of humanity – an age of intuition. No longer will greed and selfishness be a way to succeed in life.
The purest souls have the purest connection to source -- the most perfect vibrational match to source energy. The more conscious we are of our inner life, the more of a reality it becomes. The more conscious we are of the inner, the less the attraction to the outer.
Inspiration comes from the inner realms of consciousness. The inner world is one of abundance. The intuitive person knows this and derives bliss from it. But most people do not suspect a reality within and thus do not derive pleasure from it. They don’t have the experience of oneness and power that are characteristic of the inner planes.
If you are being prompted by intuition to make a certain decision, follow it. Intuition comes from perception of wholeness. Its vision is more magnified than what we can perceive with intellect. The more we utilize intuition, the greater its efficacy.
Its highest use is in helping others, to bring light to darkness, to bring oneness to manyness. To use intuition or consciousness in this manner is to be aligned with the source of being. When you are aligned with the source of all power you become an expression of its power.
When this power is in your possession, thoughts of limitation and insufficiency disappear. To sit alone with this awareness is to be enveloped in a silence that absorbs all sounds. When in that sacred space all tradition ceases to be important. National causes become unimportant. Even religion becomes unnecessary. The reason: Oneness knows no divisions.
In this state of consciousness, any goal can be realized, but the soul, with a deeper awareness and heightened sensitivity, is no longer intoxicated with worldly desires. Instead, the sole concern becomes the expression of its light for the benefit of others.
Coming from our source of being, that is a power that can only go on increasing the more it is used.
