Diagnose-Me

by Gregory Allen Butler

Today I came across a service called Diagnose-Me on the Internet that I believe is an important service that everyone could benefit from. It takes you through the most comprehensive medical history that you could ever imagine. In all, I was asked over 900 questions. The questions are grouped into categories, such as skeletal, cardiovascular, urinary, supplements, digestive, family history, etc.

Throughout the process I was asked to save a series of answers to their database. Everything is confidential. You don't even have to use your real name. When you are done (it took me over three hours) you have a choice to receive a computer generated report for $25, which you receive within 24 hours; a standard report reviewed for 10-15 minutes by your choice of either a male or female licensed, U.S. doctor (MD, ND, or DC) for $47, which you receive within three days; or a complete review, which is reviewed by your choice of doctors for 30-40 minutes and costs $77 which you receive within four days. Both of the options that included doctor reviews include a chance for follow-up questions. And even if you decline all three options, they will still send you a free preliminary report with recommendations and precautions. It takes about three hours to arrive via e-mail.

Diagnose-Me reports all include a breakdown of conditions and risks affecting you, lab testing and treatment recommendations, and a full explanation is given for the conclusions and suggestions made.

You have a choice to receive the comprehensive Diagnose-Me report in Adobe Acrobat version or an HTML version.

During the Diagnose-Me survey, you are asked questions about what you eat, your sexual habits, surgeries you have had, medications you have taken, whether you have mercury amalgams in your teeth, how well you sleep, if you startle easily, how good is your marriage, what is your resting pulse, what blood type you have.

In each section of the diagnose-me survey, you are invited to give additional information related to any question. For example, my father dying of a heart attack at age 62 isn't indicative of my chance to develop heart disease because he was a chain smoker, a heavy drinker, someone with a poor heart-health diet, and he had high blood pressure. None of that applies to me so I told them so.

I cannot stress how important the depth of these questions is. We are complex multi-dimensional beings. We are comprised of spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical dimensions. They all influence each other. The questions span the mental, emotional and physical realms. The only thing left out was the spiritual, which would be hard to quantify, but even that information can be gleaned from your answers.

This is the most in-depth medical history you probably will ever answer. Some of the questions are very personal, but then again, you don't even have to use your real name. I found Diagnose-Me to be a great service, and I am recommending it to everyone, including my family members.

Just the fact that some of these questions are raised brings consciousness into your health in areas that you might be taking for granted. For example, it asked if I was bathing in chlorinated water. I have been, but I have to admit that this has to have repercussions on my health. I am putting a filter on my shower this weekend. Go to http://www.diagnose-me.com and see what you can learn.
